South of the Bridge: Welcome to the Vibration and Energy of Brixton, London

Experienced by Kimatni D. Rawlins The observance of life led me to the diaspora and Caribbean flavor of the Brixton side of London. Energized with Black culture from Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad, and nations all across Africa, such as Ghana and Nigeria, the town was sprawling with positive energy, one love, vegan eateries, and people vibing […]

As a writer, mentor, and poet of conscious thought, enlightenment, and wellness, I travel the globe exploring cultures, peoples, and vegan culinary.

“Go Tell Your Story” is a poetic parable that focuses on the evolution of a young man hailing from the humble beginnings of Camden, NJ who utilizes the principles of self-mastery to reach nirvana. He voyages as The Vegan Cyborg to influence others with livity, nutritional freedom, and Bob Marley’s principle of “One Love.”

Moreover, the young nomad is guided by the sages, priests, and countrymen he crosses paths with in indigenous countries from Ethiopia to Peru to Vietnam. Travel wide people so we can all continue to learn from one another.

Kimatni D. Rawlins, Poetic Thought

Welcome to my literary world. Dubbed Kimatni by my father, the meaning derives from the Kemetic deity “Ma’at” who represented justice, truth, harmony, and balance. “Ki” is the body’s lifeforce energy, and most notably acclaimed in Japan where my wife Misa originates. Thus, my name equates to “Strength Through Truth.”

Graduating with a B.S. in Business from Georgia Tech in 1997, I am a father of two girls, a brother to four sisters, and a mentor to hundreds of youth. I am an author, journalist, and poet of conscious thought, enlightenment, and wellness. As a nomadic traveler, I’ve spent time in many indigenous lands building with the people and their cultures. From Lalibela, Ethiopia and Machu Picchu to Fukuoka, Japan and Kathmandu, I’ve been blessed with the gift of open-mindedness, which allows me to inherit a deeper understanding of the language, the cuisines, and the lifestyles of the region visited.

Kimatni D. Rawlins is a nomadic traveler and an author, writer and poet of conscious thought, enlightenment, and wellness. Keep rising people.

A Father’s Cry

Removal of urban societies through gentrification,
poor pushed to the outer banks with no solutions for prospering,
after generations of economic depression.
Sons fighting for their rights –
and daughters’ attempts at survival is heard to no avail.
Domestic war has taken innumerable souls.
The evils that men do have left society torn.
