Still I Rise: Emancipation from Burden and Egoism

By Kimatni D. Rawlins

Last year I took on far too many SELFLESS burdens fighting for causes and people who do not even fight for themselves. From business to family to friendships, I absorbed their exhausting energy, redundant problems, and countless conundrums while making them my own without receiving reciprocity. Thus, I weakened my stern spiritual foundation and mental fortitude.

Well, not this year, when I will focus on “SELF” outside of a few key scenarios that are meaningful, like my daughters and lifelong friends. I have witnessed the selfish intentions of human nature and will no longer participate in that forum. The formula is simple: speak up, fight for your rights, enhance your work ethic, and stop relying on saviors to sacrifice their relationships and reputation for your benefit. And when someone does choose to do something uplifting for you, honor that with a thoughtful note, maybe a card, lunch, or something you know they will enjoy. Take the “ish” out of “self” and replace it with “less.”

Simplification is my newfangled mantra while fighting for my causes, first. To the other nomadic minds like myself, keep elevating, exploring, and satisfying your soul. One Love!

Positive Destination

It’s a new year so that alcohol I formerly let in-to-me, is in the past with a current focus on alkalinity. I dug avidly for wisdom and dignity, seeking knowledge from the Power of the Trinity.

Wake Up and Live

I awoke one morning on fire - from energy resonating on behalf of the Messiah. Who ordained me to help educate the masses on goals producing education and action.
